Nurses Career Support

Published

Hi guys!

I currently work on the business aspect for a big fortune company and looking to make a change. I have always wanted to be in the medical field, so now I am looking at all of my options.

I have my Bachelors in Communication

I guess my questions are , how quick can I become a nurse and what is the best way to pursue the degree?

Should I get a side job and get my Associates in nursing then go back?

Should I go all out and do an Accelerated program?

Eventually I would like to have my Masters in Nursing.

Any help guidence, comments, pros cons etc- much appreciated.

please.....

seriously- are you sure you want to do this? ok , then see if you can shadow a few times to make sure. If you still want to pursue- then I would do an accellerated program. One of the universities has a 1 year accellerated rn program for those with bachelors in other fields. If after working as an rn for a bit , and you still want to continue it- many colleges have rn- bsn programs- which would be very short for you since yiou have all the core pre req's out of the way. most rn- bsn programs are 18 mos with 1 class per week.

good luck.

thanks!
