Hi there,
I am an Ontario grade 12 student wishing to become an RN. I am considering getting my BSN in the United States and am wondering if anyone could tell me about the process of coming back to Ontario to work and if there is a good chance of being approved without a degree from an Ontario school.
Thank you

You will have to be assessed by the Ontario College to determine if your US education is equal to that of a Canadian educated nurse.
You will always be regarded as an IEN and may face having your education if you decide to move provinces.
It's always better to be educated in the country where you plan to practice in order to avoid future hurdles that you erect yourself.

If you are planning on working in Canada you would be best to go to school in Canada. As Fiona points out, you will always be considered an IEN and have to deal with having your education evaluated if you were to move.
