Not to appear ignorant, but what exactly is a "blog"? I'm hearing that term more and more, but not sure exactly what it is....some kind of journal? Or a forum?

Livejournal has several nursing communities - including nursing, student_nurses, and nurses_notes

I have a blog there myself (not updated recently) that will probably soon become nursing-related since I'm starting school this summer! :)
