Good luck to you!

I work for JCL NM and I love it. I am not currently an RN but waiting to get into nursing school and working out on the floor. You must remember the area that JCL NM is in not the nicest and that most of the patients come from the immediate area. But I LOVE all of the training and support that they have to offer and great benefits! Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. However, I'd like to clarify when you said "it is not the nicest", does this mean the place itself or the community is not safe at all? I will be particularly working in ER. How is it then?

Specializes in RN, BSN, CHDN.

My friend worked at JCL NM on the med/surg floor, she said it was extreemly busy and varied. The surrounding area is less than desirable so you can get your fair share of traumatic injuries through the ER it is trauma 1.

My friend said it a good place to work and they treat you very well.

Good luck in your new job

Actually worked their ER years ago and loved it. It is a Level I trauma center and quite busy because of that.

And the earliest paramedics trained out of there, way back when paramedic programs got their start. They were the base hospital for them, Engine #7 if I remember correctly.

Excellent reputation for the facility.

The community surrounding the hospital is less than desirable. Lots of people on the street and such. In regards to the hosptial I feel very safe there. The sercurity is awsome and are always willing to walk you to your car and such! Hope that this clarifys!
