I came to conlusion that although I respect (the doctor's knowledge and ultimate decision making) that nurses work harder in physical and mental way.Sure the doctors are on the call 24 (not talking about surgeons cause they sure work hard) but we nurses coordinate everything, watch patients 24,have to recognize changes in health status,as well as know pathophysiology/diseases,deal with ongoing issues.
For those of you who think Nursing school doesnt teach nothing I admit Nursing school is very easy, you dont have to even bring a pen and a paper to the class, what we do in nursing school is repair stethoscopes,on my first day working as RN I will administer a crushed synthroid to a patient with hyperthyroidism mixed with grapefruit juice and make sure the patient has big fat meal just before,on the day when I loose my license I will make sure to blame and sue my nursing school for producing a air head nurse with no reality check.

The majority of people on that particular forum are premedical and medical students who have just as little or less real world experience as the starter of this thread, so their opinions are also quite skewed.
Also, neither their forum nor ours are representative samples of our respective populations. We're both the vocal (and dare I say technologically proficient) minority.
