Would love to hear from some Nurses- what can CNA/PCT/Care Partners do to make your shift better? In your eyes what makes a kick-butt CNA/PCT? What do your favorite/preferred support staff people do for you?
Treat the patient as if he or she were your loved one. Be kind and respectful. Please refrain from using profanity or having inappropriate conversations when your patient can hear you. Please do not complain about your assignment. Please come to work as scheduled and keep call-ins to a minimum.

Conversely, I had two AMAZING CA's who used to tag team on all of their turns, baths, etc. This helped free up tons of time for the nurses to see patients and chart, and seemed more efficient for them, too.
