Need ideas for safe Insect repellent

Nurses Recovery

Published

I'm about to go camping mid May and picked our site today. Also picked two ticks off myself by the time we were done. I usually use cinnamon when I'm fishing, but I don't think that will cut it in these woods. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I enjoy a good cigar now and then.

We bought uber-cheap ones at the PX. If I remember right the biggest and most stinky were "Black Jack's". Tasted like motor oil but the bugs hated them

Are you suggesting someone on monitoring because of an alcohol problem use beer?

Black Jack's, going to look for them. I read that rubbing orange peels on yourselve helps. I only do ETG panels, so I am extremely cautious.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Lavender essential oil

Lots of Beer (Drunk mosquitoes aim poorly, and you don't care if you get bit)

Feed your fellow campers high salt food, they like salty blood

People on this forum who are under BON monitoring contracts are not allowed to drink alcohol .

Because this post has popped up on the homepage, I don't think everyone realizes it came from the Recovery forum.

Suggesting beer? Not appropriate for a recovery forum.

Heck I'd love a beer or ten but then again I make no pretense of being in recovery just in a monitoring program so I will continue my mandated abstinence for the mandated time

Spanked, you don't pretend that you're all about recovery (and I do so respect how straight up front you are about it.) Now if only these programs would also do the same.

Why thank you Cats. You have made my morning

Love it Spanked, you just made my damn day.
