a nurse's medicine cabinet

Published

What do you all have in your medicine cabinets? I'm not talking about personal prescriptions, but rather OTC meds and supplies to always have on hand.

those 10cc iv flushes are great for irrigating small wounds. :)

y'all are making me feel sooo unprepared!

I bought the NS contact lens spray for an OTC wound wash. ;) I can use as much or as little as I want, and it's got a long shelf life.

I have all the usual -- motrin, asa, benadryl, imodium, mylanta, AAA ointment, hydrocortisone cream. Oh, and somewhere I think I have an old Epi pen and some leftover Vicodin for extreme problems.

Also an assortment of splints and salves for painful muscles -- BioFreeze and somewhere, some Tiger Balm.

Then there's duoderm, moleskin, and bandages.

Pretty much the same as everyone else:

Tylenol (regular and extra strength pills, liquid for the 7 year old who won't swallow pills, and infant drops for the wee one), motrin (pills and liquid), various flavors of robitussin, cold/flu combo, tums, maalox, pepto (no cancer for me!;)), pain/heat patches, and there's a nicely stocked first aid kit on top of the fridge so certain family members can't get into the band-aids and plaster their stuffed animals.:icon_roll
