I have a few questions that I would like some help with. First I'll explain my situation. The first time I went to college I was majoring in organizational development. Instead of finishing my degree I ended up going to paramedic school. After working as a paramedic for several years I decided to go to nursing school. Now I am almost complete with nursing school and if all goes well I will graduate in Feb. 2005. I am thinking that now I might want to go back and finish my business degree before moving on to a bachelors and then masters degree in nursing. Are there any nurses out there with business degrees? How are they useful in the nursing world? Is it worth going back for this degree? I am open to all thoughts and suggestions. Thanks.

... Is it worth going back for this degree?...
If your intention is to get a master's down the road and wish to have more of a business background, then my suggestion is that you not get the business degree.
Instead, get a BSN, and subsequently an MSN that either incorporates a business curriculum or that combines it with an MBA, or a straight MBA.
Good luck!

Depends on what you want to do career-wise. Finishing the business degree certainly won't hurt if you want to go into management. I have an MSN and MBA and both have helped in nursing and other business interests. My business degree was not so much to help me in nursing as it was to help with other business interests...even though some were health-related.
