Nurse Who Has Not A Clue...

How do you know his IQ? Or his intimate life? How is he able to text and message you on FB?

What does your supervisor say?

He constantly follows people around telling them these things. And it's easy to message people on FB. And phone numbers are accessible at work. Supervisor says discipline him out of system. He does make enough errors to do that. My question is more .... Has anyone came a cross this kind of person. I tried to help him over and over but he doesn't learn. It's at the point that we all want to leave. He actually stands outside the bathroom door waiting on me because everyone else ignores him. That's how bad this situation is.

Judy, I hope this is not your real full name.

If your manager can't or won't take action, you should contact HR. Tell your manager one more time, tell her that would have to be your next step as this sort harassment (never mind the clinical incompetence for the moment) is producing (HINT: MAGIC WORDS COMING UP) a hostile work environment. If she can't get him off your butt, it will then be her problem.

Then document, document, document every weird thing he does, and have other witnesses sign so you won't be seen as the problem. Make sure others document, too, for the same reason.

And for gawdsakes,

1) change your AN posting name stat

2) block him on your FB

3) block him on your cell phone

4) stop trying to fix him. You can't. Your continued attention to him is not helpful to him.

Thanks. No not real name. Eliminated words for protection. Thanks. Yes it's bad and I appreciate the advice.

I couldn't figure why the blocking hadn't already occurred. But if he were standing outside the BR, I'd be reporting up the chain of command.

However it sounds like he does these things in little enough doses and it's the cumulative effect that has gotten to you, otherwise it seems he would have already done enough to be disciplined out.
