Can anyone tell me how much Nurse tech/Patient care techs make in Maryland hospitals? I am taking the advanced patient care program at Howard County Community College and I just wanted some insight on what to expect when I finish. Also for that matter if anyone else has taken that class can tell me anything about it for example was it difficult to obtain a job afterward and not necessarily at Howard County General Hospital ( I know they offer the program for free) or any draw backs or any positives to the program would be great. I was just curious because this program is a lot shorter then other tech/multi- skilled programs I've seen. I'll be grateful for any help at all, thanks

I'm a tech at Mercy right now. The hourly pay without shift differentials is around $12-14 an hour.

You have posted a question about pay rate in a specific hospital on the geriatric nurse & LTC forum. I wouldn't expect to many replies from this crowd. Most of us would not have a clue about hospital pay rates.
