Nurse Residencies in Dallas February 2018

Nurses Job Hunt

Published

Hey y'all! I was wondering if anyone else was applying to jobs in the Dallas area for February 2018 start date? What places are y'all applying and have y'all heard back from any of them?

@TexasGirl17

Just so you do not count yourself out at Children's Medical Center, I have been contacted for on site interview and my submission says "inactive". I was told that all applications say "inactive" once the submission end date has passed but that does not relate to your status as a candidate.:D

Hey y'all.. I applied for Children's Dallas and never heard anything about a video interview? Does that mean I wasn't even considered? I'm confused. I just found this thread and I'm trying to catch up with everything y'all have talked about.

also, is medical city children's dallas accepting for the NICU? I haven't been able to find anything online.

I interviewed via phone with the recruiter for Medical City Children's on Monday and she said the only positions they have open for February so far are in CVICU.

I have an interview for medical city childrens in the NICU. Its on the 13th.

i also just got an email for an interview at dallas childrens! so they must still be sending.

Do Medical City & Medical City Children's both provide stipends instead of salary? I have interviewed for Medical City and have an interview for Medical City Children's scheduled for later.

The Med. City recruiter told me that pay is 1000$ every two weeks for the first 3 months and then you're bumped to to $25/hr and put on this track where you get raises every 6 months and end up making $29/hr by 2 years of employment. Don't know about differentials though

has anyone heard from UTSW for womens services? still waiting on them

Thank you sleepynurseZZZ!

All the medical city applications closed on September 18th I believe. They were really hard to find.

Congrats to everyone that found out about interviews!!

Medical city is having a NICU internship. It probably closed. Interviews are Oct 10 and people are already emailed for it

Has anyone heard back from any of the THR hospitals yet? I'm so confused about how they are choosing candidates. I have about 5 positions I was rejected from that I thought I would be a good fit for, and then about 5 other positions that say they've been forwarded to a hiring manager or are under review. I was just offered a position at Medical City Denton which is a nice magnet hospital and it's on a good unit, and now I don't know whether to accept this position or if I should hold out for other offers. I haven't even had the chance to do my UTSW interview yet, and just wish I could go on all the interviews first and then make a decision...but they want an answer within 2 days! Such a life changing decision to make in 2 days!

For THR, the only response I've received was to fill out the GN preference and screen form. I emailed that and a week later she emailed me back saying thank you. I have also been rejected from 2 positions and 1 of the positions I applied for got canceled, and now the job posting says canceled. Im guessing since the positions that I was rejected for say "filled" now, I think they were possibly filled with internal candidates that already work at THR or the manager on that floor already had someone they wanted. I have a few positions that say "in review process" and the rest still say considering. After the preference form was completed, then we suppose to get the link for online reference to be submitted (which I believe implies you are getting an interview), and then you scheduled for interview. I know it sucks they want an answer back so quickly, it hard making that kind of decision that fast especially when have other interviews. I know someone who accepted an offer from medical city because they said she had to respond in 2 days, but she said if she get hired at THR, she going to call them back and say she can't work there with some excuse. That an option, but I don't really like it because what if you want to work at that facility in the future. It a hard decision to make.
