I started my Nursing journey in the Philippines

I started my Nursing journey in the Philippines. I did not graduate and did not obtain my diploma, for I have to go back here in California. I got 190 Nursing units. I did not got my BSN Diploma for the reason i'm lacking their minor subjects that is not even related to Nursing, like Philippine History. I had it evaluated and translated in English. I wanna pursue what i started. I'm wondering if it possible for me to apply for NCLEX and let board of Nursing here in California assess it and figure out my deficiencies. I'm aware that everyone who finished their Nursing education in the Philippines were sent out back to school to complete their deficiencies. I'm wondering if the CA BRN would at least accept and figure out my deficiencies? I wanna try to apply but i'm worried that every effort and money that i'll put into it would go into waste. And also I tried applying to schools as a transfer student here in California but they would want me to start on scratch again. Anyone here that could at least answer me? Or does anyone here knows a school that i could go to and enroll. I'm eager to know the answers. I would really appreciate it if someone would give light to me. I'm getting frustrated each day. Thanks so much.

I can feel your frustration in order to become a registered nurse here in California. Well, you need to submit proof that you graduated from the nursing program which is apparently a BSN program in your country. I've never heard of anybody who applied to the BRN who has never graduated the nursing program. Even graduates from the Philippines, you can read a lot of threads here that the BRN mostly requires them to re-take some courses. Since you were denied from schools to become a transfer student, why not go back to the Philippines and finish what you started in order to get your diploma? You only need a history class? I think you can get that done by 1 semester only.
