Welp. There will be a new President soon...He has promised to "repeal and replace" Obamacare.

The real question is (as someone who will be out of school and in practice soon) what will happen with our profession? I know with Obamacare, folks were saying NPs will be in high demand. Don't get me wrong, I know NPs will still be in demand, but what do you think it will look like?

I'm against same sex marriage so if that's a crime then lock them up or fine them. I don't care what the locals elect as a penalty.

And somehow this isn't against terms of service. You should feel right at home now your buddy Trump has hired a white supremacist and a radical homophobe to his team.

Want America back? From whom? The Native Americans? By the way, gay people are also Americans and they want to right to live in peace without persecution too. You start trying to lock gay people up and you'll see the biggest mess that ever hit this country. We're not going to let this country take a step back into the dark ages and we're not going to allow ourselves to be treated like second class citizens anymore. How ironic...a nurse in mental health who needs his own head read. I am appalled.

Incidentally, this is exactly what Pence was trying to do in Indiana. He made it so that it was a felony to lie on your marriage license but then changed the marriage license to reflect entries only for one man and one woman so that when gay people applied for licenses they had no place to put their intended spouses name down without having to place the female or male in the wrong space, and then threatened them with 18 months in prison. Don't think we're not watching. We know what they're trying to do and I'll make it my life's mission to speak up when I see this. As long as you're white, straight and male, you're going to do just fine under this new government. The rest of us...not so much.

Correct, but I will absolutely call out and speak up with these kind of statements. It's just incredible to me that that statement can go for 6 pages with only one comment and yet someone who posts an emoji gets their thread deleted. By all means let's discuss the issues but not at the detriment of a whole group of Americans. Not acceptable.

Every college I've been to has a LGBT club and an african american club. They are termed "progressive clubs"

But if somebody wants to start a Straight Mans club, or White man club, its racist and denied by the schools council.

I have friends who are LGBT and african american. but not ones in those groups, they are obnoxious. Just like your trailer park KKK worshippers.

I'm a male, I do not like to touch other peoples memberes, don't really worry about gay marriage I'm not gonna do anything to oppose it because I could really care less if it doesn't effect my life. But if I have kids I don't want people telling them its ok for boys to play with other boys man toys. That will earn you a swift kick in the face.

I feel sorry for you. You are ignorant. You've never been made homeless because of who you loved though, right? I have. You've never been beaten up or lost a job because of who you are. You've never had your house set on fire for who you are...right? I have. You've never been laughed at in public. How would you know what constitutes discrimination? You've only dished it out never received it. I've made my own way in the world from being a homeless teenager thrown out of home for being gay, to grad school as an independent woman. I did it on my own. The threat still exists...I still live in fear, hide who I am in public, keep secrets so that men like you "don't kick me in the face". You don't need a white man's club. The whole freaking WORLD has always been a white man's club!

I am disgusted by your words. Professionals don't threaten violence. Now the radical right are showing their true colors. Hidden discrimination is now proudly and loudly expressed because Trump said it was ok. And they wonder why people march in the streets and get really freaking ANGRY! Thanks for proving the point. I think your under the mentality of people that if people don't openly support LGBT are against it. If I was out to block it I wouldn't tolerate friends that are LGBT. Just like Islam, I don't want people trying to convince my kids to be Islam.

You're just angry that Trump is president.

I don't care about gay rights either way, that doesn't make me discriminatory, it just means I have better stuff to worry about. its just not on my agenda and you should be fine with that. Just like I am sure rights of certain groups that you don't focus on aren't on your agenda.

So Gents, definitely veering off a bit but curious to know since you aren't in favor of this type of surgery being covered what about other expensive items that are presently covered and yet in some's opinion aren't a necessity such as fertility treatments? or VIAGRA????? Now we're talking, lol. How do we even attempt to sort through these ethical questions as to what is a necessity to someone else?

Who cares? Erection pills are too expensive to be on formulary.
