i am a registered nurse here in the Philippines...
I have applied for an immigrant visa in Canada... (specifically in Toronto, Ontario where my sister is residing)
if the visa will be approved, I am planning to go to Canada right away (God willing)
what should i do if I'll reach Canada?
I want to practice my profession as a nurse...:redpinkhe
my friend in Canada told me that i have to take an exam (is it CRNE?).
she said that if i pass, i will be a Licensed Practical Nurse..
if i want to be a registered nurse, i still have to study for 2 years.
is it true?
by the way, i am a masters degree holder here in the philippines.
Masters of Arts in Nursing..

You need to apply to the province college of RN and be assessed. They will make a decision based on your transcripts to whether you are RN level and whether you can sit CRNE. You can start the process now and would recommend it as it does take time foe the college to assess you

This thread is moving to the International Forum. The average Canadian nurse is not going to be able to answer your questions as they don't pertain to about 90% of the nurses living here.
There are already MANY threads and posts on this topic, which I believe you already know since you've posted here before asking similar questions. One of your posts indicated that you expected to complete your Master's degree in January or March 2010 - did you accelerate things then?
Please read the existing threads then if you have specific questions, come back and ask them. There's a lot involved in the process.
