is it just me or did she not make a convincing argument for not getting the swine flu vaccine.
about the public making the decision for getting the vaccine "check on this before you make that decision, there is plenty of information on the internet" (without citing specific reputable sources). and she claims to have been a public health nurse, how long ago?
the doctor that she debated in my opinion, did a much more convincing job on getting the vaccine then she did on not getting it.
what do other people think?

No evidence given, but two different opinions.
Influenza is not a pleasant disease for most, but the majority of us get over it with no ill effects. The question is is, is it a mild illness? That depends on what you have seen as well as your world view.
If no one in your immediate circle has gotten very ill , and if you haven't looked for the fatalities then you might choose to believe that this is a benign illness.
I am beginning to hear of cases in the family members of people that I know that are not mild, and it is only thru the use of antivirals, that two of these young adults known to me may have avoided hospitalization.
Because I have been tracking this pandemic since April, I can present the following cases in the links below as evidence that this virus can be a killer. It can be devastating and expensive as well. IMHO, the severity of these cases proves the need for vaccination. It is painful to read of these lives lost because of the lack of immunity to a flu virus.

They had that young couple on TV that had to deliver the fetus early to save the mother's life. She was only 6 months at the time and they knew if they took the baby that early it might not make it. She of course was totally unaware of what was going on because she was in a coma. The news people called it a mother or baby choice. I don't see how they get that because if they hadn't delivered the child the mother would have died for sure taking the fetus with her.

That "nurse" on CNN, had only her immediate personal reaction to share. Her self serving message related to unfounded fears, misinformation (vaccine was tested thoroughly), and inability to see beyond personal fears, to the need to protect others by not getting H1N1.
The doctor was very polite, as he referred only to her age as someone who had not been exposed to previous epidemics of similar viruses. He restrained himself from exposing her short sightedness, complimenting her on the 20+ years of work she'd logged giving nursing care.
One day she may become better informed, and then be embaressed by the display of ignorance she made.
Incidently it's better to get the H1N1 flu vaccine first, then later have the seasonal flu vaccination. Seasonal flu appears in this hemisphere around the end of January, February, and early March; and H1N1 is here!
Canada studied 2,000 recipients of seasonal flu vaccine, and found they were more susceptible to getting the H1N1 flu afterward. Since the H1N1 flu vaccine just became available, there are no statistics regarding the administration of both vaccines on at the same time.....

The professional article presenting the results of Canadian study has not yet been publicly released. I would withhold judgment on whether or not prior vaccination with a seasonal influenza vaccine increases the susceptibility to infection by novel H1N1.
