Can I still become a nurse with a skeleton hand tattoo? Is there such thing as waterproof tattoo makeup since i know i will have to do plenty of hand washing as a nurse? please help!

policies vary by school and employer, although most employers are relaxing rules now. The state board of nursing in any state doesn't give a flying fig if you have a hand tattoo, or a tattoo anywhere else for that matter. Go for it!
There are many different kinds of makeup to cover it, with varying degrees of success, if you google

Most hospitals will not care unless it is offensive.

I have a Pikachu on my left inner forearm. I have only ever had one employer that cared. If anything, it has given my patients a way to relate to me. My favorite question about it was "What is that?? A squirrel??" from a cute little old lady, who looked genuinely intrigued and yet baffled why anyone would have a squirrel tattoo.
