Nurse in H4 visa

I am nurse from India,I completed my NCLEX,IELTS and through an agency I filed my GC in EB3 category in Oct 2006.Recently I got married and now I am in US(holding H4 visa) with my Husband(H1B).Since I am in H4 I was unable to work here.My agency informed me that I cannot have break in my career and I should work.What should I do? :confused:

Is there any possibilities to continue my career(Its very clear to me that in H4 visa status I can't work)I am just looking for the possibilities to work here in US?I have completed my Master degree in Psychology.Is there any way to get visa changed? I wish to work legally in US.kindly help.:(

FYI - you may not volunteer in any position for which anyone usually gets paid in order to remain in status with your H4. Doing so consitutes "working", even if you're not paid.

Dear suzanne,

This time I am approching you with different query.I was planning to migrate to Australia and initiated my registration with Nurses board of victoria.Recently I appeared for my IELTS and got less in speaking module 6.5 and above 7 in all other modules.I would like to know if I reappear IELTS exam and got required score in SPEAKING module alone and less in other modules, will it be accepted by considering the scores in my 2 IELTS certificates? Or else Is it mandatory to get all the required score in single attempt?

I would check with some of the threads here about Australia, believe that they will permit you to take the exam several times and you can put the best scores together for one result.

But unfortunately I heard from Nurses board of victoria that I have to get the scores in single attempt.but I heard from many friends that it is not so..Anyhow..:cry:

I did well in my speaking session,the topic easy,examiner friendly and as of my knowledge I didn give any pause or I did not blabber.Last time in 2006 when I appeared I was not confident,i did some mistakes,eventhough I got 7. I dont know what went wrong this time?I got only 6.5 in speaking,I need 7 band.though I get LISTENING 8,READING 8;WRITING 7,OVERALL 7.5.SPEAKING I got less.all my friends are saying to apply for reevaluvation.What is your opinion? Because I dont think I can get these scores again particularly reading,its tough.waiting to hear from you about applying for reevaluvation?

There are a couple of threads already ongoing regarding working/moving to Australia. Have a read through them you may find them very informative

Each state in Australia can set their own requirements and you need to go by what the specific state is telling you. There are a few that will permit one to sit for the IELTS several times and use different sections combined. Victoria is not one of them. If you wish to go there, then you need to meet their specific requirements.

I am looking for educational opportunities which I can complete in short term and cost effective too.The tuition fee in universities are too high for me.Is there any certified or post diploma courses available in Nursing?I live in Phoenix,AZ.I am BSN with experience in paediatric Nursing.

Because of visa status H4,I cant work,I dont want to waste my time and career,so I am looking for continuing education,Can you advise me how to pursue my career?
