Hi anyone working as an NFP nurse? I wanted to know if I could ask you a few questions about the job, its for an assignment on the role of a nurse working with nurse family partnership. it would require you to describe a visit you had with a patient such as: the purpose of the visits, goals for both you and the patient, how goals were established and met, type of teaching that was done, if any physical assessment was done. Would greatly appreciate the help! thank you in advance

You should post this in the community health nursing forum

I did post it there as well, unfortunately still no reply.

Interviews for homework are usually intended for the student to do an in-person one. Your interview will most likely be more qualitative and interesting.

Also you never know who is answering your questions on-line, so honesty and accuracy are at risk.

Yes, rather than posting this online in an anonymous forum, you might get better results by actually calling NFP and asking to talk to one of their nurses. That way you will at least know that you're actually talking to an NFP nurse.

Hi, You can google "nurse family partnership" and you will find stories that follow the nurses "a day in the life". I remember seeing a few stories/articles a few months ago ...I know NY Times had an article on NFP. It sounds like a great program.

It is a great program. I don't work for them, but I refer patients to them frequently. I did my BSN capstone on NFP, and I plan to do my master's thesis on them as well. My ultimate career goal is to work for them in administration.
