Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.
Message was from Madelyn Reyes, Stating "We are writing to let you know that you may have received an email message that you were not selected for an award. This is a systems error and we are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Additional information is forthcoming so please continue to check your emails."

This sounds extremely promising, but I can also understand why you don't want to get your hopes up. All my best to you in this regard (I don't like saying good luck considering so much work has gone into this process) =) Also, thanks for this information.
This is what I am wondering Jyurechko. I have even spoken directly (several times) with the case manager (or whatever technical term for the person who is assigned to you once you are awarded) to have a form updated and to answer a question about my school. I left her a voice-mail today regarding the rejection notification but so far I haven't heard back.
Did you ever hear back from your assigned case manager?

Not yet. My guess is that they do not want her or other case managers to say something to the
finalist applicants that might give false hope or the wrong impression (if they do have information that would help explain what happened). When I called the general line today, I noted that the representative was already aware of the 'glitch' problem and put me on hold to talk to her escalation team regarding any updates. The rep then returned to the line and said that the team still does not know why the portal reflected the "under final review" to "under review" change and that they were still working on it. I will follow up with the case manager on Monday. I assumed that if she did not call me or email me today that she was asked not to respond until things have been sorted out. (I acknowledge that my assumption could be wrong, but I also did not want to come across as pushy to learn what happened).

So, Orangesnapple, was the email that you received, a reply to an inquiry that you made first, or was the email an alert to say, "hey, there was an error and we're looking into it?" This has been so exhausting and emotionally draining. Praying more good news is coming your way!
