Hi Everyone, I'm planning to apply for the HRSA NurseCorp Scholarship this year. I figured I would go ahead and start the next thread for this award year. I'm currently finishing up some of my prereqs and will be starting my BSN program in June. I know the application date hasn't been released yet but from what I have seen on other threads, it should be opened sometime in March/April with a deadline in May. I've also read that the prompt questions have been the same from one award year to the next so I have begun working on them as well as trying to figure out who I would like to use as recommendations. I would love to hear from all who plan to apply this year.

I am new here! HELLO! I just submitted my application also. I have no idea what the chances are of actually getting it, but worth a shot! I only found out about it two weeks when my college said I should apply. Good Luck Everyone!!!!

Start Date- 09/18

End Date- 04/20

EFC is not 0, but low

GPA- 4.0

Hi everyone, this is my first post ever on AllNurses. I just submitted my application and I'm so excited and hopeful that we'll all receive this scholarship.

EFC:0

GPA: 3.93

I only applied for my last 2 years to be funded. I wish I would have known about this scholarship earlier but I transferred into my BSN program as a 2nd semester sophomore in the spring. Anyways, good luck and God bless everyone.

Hey everyone! A quick question: did anyone receive an email from Nurse Corps after submitting their application? I'm just wondering if we were supposed to get one that says our application has been submitted. In my portal, it does says "under review".

I didn't receive an email after submission either. My profile says under review as well.

Hello! Just wanted to join the agonizing wait of finding out if we are still poor or if we've been saved. EFC is about 5,000. I'm in an accelerated program right now, which is going to cost about 75,000 ... on top of my graduate and undergraduate loans. Oof. Also have experience working with refugee children in the Middle East. Since I just started the program, I had to use my last known GPA, which was 3.6...but its much higher now. One day at a time I guess.

I've just applied.

GPA: 3.3 ( I know, not as good as I'd hope)

EFC: 3135

I really hope I get this scholarship. I just think that my application is not very competitive. I could be working as a nurse but I am currently a babysitter with care.com and I have a lot of families that depend on me for childcare so I wasn't really ready to tell them that I would have to call it quits and take the CNA job.
