I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.
Currently crying because I have not received any sort of credit check
It's been said multiple times that credit checks have not been performed for the scholarship program. The evaluation period for applications isn't even over yet.
No matter where I search, I can't find this information! When is the evaluation period over?
Last year they had until 6/28 for the first review and 7/5 for the second round. There are links to the info in last years thread but they aren't loading for some reason. We all got our credit checks on 7/13 last year and the some of us started getting notifications on 7/26 and then fairly consistently after that. Not much longer!
I spoke with the customer service department on Friday because the site was down and they said that they have already been notifying people - so he said and I had him manually check my application he said I'm still under review. He said just to continue to check my email because they have already begun the process. I'm not certain if it's certain tiers or how they handle who gets notified first and etc

I don't think that's true, the BHW gives all kind of whacky answers. I stopped bothering calling them last year and just researched the previous years threads. The time lines are usually pretty consistent. I think those who have had credit checks are for the NHSC because there application deadline is sooner then NCSP. NCSP credit checks will start soon. If you look at previous year's threads the same questions always come up and the patterns of answers are always the same. You guys will start seeing things happening within the next few weeks. Don't loose hope!!! And don't rely on BHW call center they will just cause more stress lol
