Nurse Corps Scholarship 2017-2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi everyone,

I am interested in applying to the nurse corps scholarship 2017 2018 in order to pay for my accelerated program of sixteen months. I have a bachelors in sociology. I have done quiet a few researches. The application cycle will be open this month but I don't know which exact date. I have read discussion threads of previous years and have found really helpful information. I want to create a platform where interested applicants can ask questions, share information, discuss and help each other.

Thanks

It seems pretty early for them to be pulling credit reports unless they have ramped up the evaluation process this year. However, CREDCO is a 3rd party vendor that could be pulling information for any type of loan or mortgage, which is more likely at this point unless we are seeing a complete change to the application reviewal process.

I wonder if they are speeding it up because of potential budget cuts? I know lat people who apply for NHSC are reviewed before Nurse corp so that could be it that if they applied for that one. But I wouldn't thing that it is coincidence that multiple people have a CREDCO check on the same day who are applicants for the program.

Nurse Corp applicant here. No credit inquiry in my report!

I am also a Nurse Corps applicant and did not have any hard hits on my credit report.

We are still operating on the previous budget as the current fiscal year goes until the end of September 2017. These proposed budget cuts wouldn't take effect until after that and is dependent on approval from congress anyway. Based on all previous years, the grant reviewers likely have a deadline between July 7-11 to complete their application evaluations.

Also had a hard inquiry from CREDCO on June 8th. May mean nothing, we will see! Edited to add I applied to both Nurse Corps and NHSC.

Currently crying in the library because there was no credit inquiry on my report. EFC 0000. First year MSN-FNP/CNM.

I think the credit reports are for those who applied for NHSC. Historically, it is to early for NCSP. Good luck!

That makes sense! Good luck to everyone, the waiting game is always tough.

Did you apply for NCSP or Nurse Corps? Don't give up! You still have a chance. Be optimistic and positive. Keep the faith please. Good Luck and please keep us updated!

Hello everyone. I'm new to the website, and excited to see others who are in the same boat as me. I was recently accepted as a sophomore into a 4-year BSN/RN Program in Philadelphia. I have a 3.8 GPA , 000 EFC. I applied to the program and received an inquiry from CREDCO earlier in the month, but I was also shopping for auto loans, so the inquiry could be from anything.

Hey guys- Happy to see all of you are biting your nails right along with me. I just finished the 1st semester of a 5 semester BSN program. No credit checks so far. Fingers crossed, good luck to all!
