Starting this thread for those who applied for Nurse Corps loan repayment in 2021

No I use it for a public health nurse position as well. I work in a public school as a school nurse ?

Also....I could be wrong, but I'm assuming there are state taxes with both programs. From everything I can tell, there will NOT be any FEDERAL taxes on any loan repayment until at least 1/1/2026 thanks to the COVID bill passed in March:

I agree that it appears from 2021-2025, there is an exemption from paying federal taxes on the repayment. Did you end up having to pay federal taxes on this?

Fed taxes come out automatically prior to payment. I have owed each year for state. Still worth it!

Where do I find this schedule!? I just got my acceptance and can't seem to find it. I also want to change my taxes to withhold more, is that possible?

It may take a while to set these documents but it's on your portal homepage to the right. It'll say my service information, then click "view my service information and documents". But again, it may not be available yet. But you can write to them to withdraw more taxes.

You need to contact a tax attorney.

Hello,

Anyone who got awarded the 2021 nurse corps loan repayment apply for a third year continuation? If so, have you heard anything back. My application still says "under review" and I'm getting nervous. Or if anyone knows the timeframe on when to expect an answer?
