I didn't check before today, but Under My Tax Information, there is a link to View Tax Documents. The W2 is in there on mine.

Yea I see that on mine now too. It wasn't there about 3 hours ago. My federal tax withheld box is blank.

Oh good. Mine is not blank, nor is medicare or social security. In the portal, under financial information, it lists the total amount awarded each month BEFORE taxes. I did not get that much deposited each month in my checking account of course because they withheld the taxes, etc...

I don’t know about anyone else, but the nurse corp award has definitely put me in a tax upheaval. They are not taking enough federal as they are taking more in social security withholding and on top of this, I just got a raise at work and with the nurse corp money this pushes me in a higher tax bracket. It is fairly discouraging to get this award only to lose a chunk of it and your income to more taxes….

Not sure if you saw my post above, but....

There is a new BIPARTISAN bill S.3505 - the “Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act of 2022” that was just referred to the Senate finance committee. If this is passed by Congress the Nurse Corps scholarship and loan repayments would be non-taxable (currently all payments are taxable).

If Chuck Grassley, an influential member on the senate finance committee, supports this bill, it will have a good chance of being moved forward into legislation that will hopefully pass the senate/house and be signed by Biden.

Please reach out to Chuck Grassley at this website: https://www.grassley.senate.gov/contact/questions-and-comments and send him a quick message asking him to support this bill. EXTRA points if you're from IOWA! I've created a sample message for you to make it quick and simple.

Subject: S.3505 - the “Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act of 2022”

Sample message (feel free to copy/paste):
I am asking you to please move forward bill S.3505 - the “Nurse Corps Tax Parity Act of 2022”. This bill will benefit the economy and healthcare in rural areas. The Nurse Corps program requires nurses work where there is a shortage of healthcare workers. Nurses who are paying lower taxes (as this bill would do) will be spending more in their local rural economy, rather than sending their money on to the federal government. This bill will also help attract nurses to work in rural high need areas, improving healthcare for your rural constituents. Thank you.

Unfortunately as slow as congress moves, this would likely not benefit me. Thank you!

Yikes...*cringe*

Classic nurse attitude/behavior, if it doesn't benefit me then I don't care...smh

Before anyone suggests it, I don't have an accountant to ask.

I want to do my W4 over so that they start taking out more taxes. That makes sense, right? Not that I know what number to put on this form. LOL

Hi everyone - 2022 NHSC LRP applicant here. First year applying, Peds NP.

Had a credit pull on 3/18, application status shows Under Review.

Did anyone applying for this program show Under Review then not get awarded?

I’m checking every day… hoping that with the earlier application cycle and earlier credit pulls I’ve seen that the ball is rolling quicker than in previous years.

They will all say under review. I got awarded, but I know others that did not & theirs said under review until they finally got the letter that they didn’t get it (at the end of September). Good luck to you!

I applied 2021 and my credit was checked in June I was under review the entire time. I received letter end of July and my 1st payment the end of August. I checked daily LOL couldn't help myself. I am a MSN CM working county job. They tale out federal taxes only but you must take out state. Payments come into your account for you to pay.

Good luck!

I also wonder if the apparent fan deposits along the toe of the slope may play a buttressing role? There are several old Quaternary slides identified in the Monterey Formation (siliceous shale) east of Monterey CA in Seaside that are probably buttressed by Pleistocene dune fields . In another life, I was part (field grunt) of a program to evaluate their stability. Using drill core data, we could only get the slide model to move if it toed out far below the existing surface. https://ulive.chat/en/p
