2018 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Nurses New Nurse

Published

Hi all,

I've been reading up on the Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program and looks like in past years, threads have been started for the yearly application process. I'll be applying as a Staff RN (non-faculty) working at a DSH with an HPSA Score of 16. Not sure of my DTI percentage yet. Hoping to connect with others that will be applying to the program next month and we can all share our updates here. Best of luck to everyone!

My contract was countersigned on 7/14 and I received notification/the portal changed on 7/20.

I sent a message over the portal to f/u on status of application. They responded that they were working on the award. Looks like it was countersigned 7/24 and the portal changed today. ?

Woohoo!! Congratulations! ?

I got my award letter. It doesn’t seem like there’s anything we need to do, correct? No countersign needed on our part?

CONGRATS SuccessCNM and everyone else who has been awarded so far! That's awesome

Is is anyone else’s check late this month?

I have not yet received mine and it does not show as processed in the portal.

My payment has not been processed either. Looking back at my first contract the initial payment was received the 10/30. Maybe there is a delay in the first one?

I called yesterday, rep said it could take up to 60 days from when new contracted started to receive first payment for continuation.

I’m really nervous now because I’m not continuing,  I’m in my second year.
