2017 Nurse Corps Loan Repayment Program

Published

Hi Fellow Nurses!

Is anyone else anxiously awaiting the 2017 cycle opening?

I have applied several times and praying that 2017 is my year. I'm tier 1 - not faculty and not an NP.

Is anyone else out there?

How does one determine if their credit has been pulled?

Creditkarma.com - mine is under the equifax but not under transunion under the hard inquiries. It will be under "credco"

I just noticed that one, i have one hard inquiry with Credco last Aug 10.

What are the odds if you have a credit inquiry with credco? Does this mean you have a good chance of getting it.

I applied last year and got a credit check but no award. Applied again this year with another credit check. Praying for an award!!

Did you receive a finalist letter last year?

Finalist email sent on July 27 and accepted. Still waiting on final signature. Getting nervous. Has anyone in the past received finalist notification and not received the grant?

Rgardne1: A credit inquiry does *not* mean you have a good chance of getting it. It simply means that your application was complete enough to get to that point. *NOT* getting a credit inquiry means you will NOT get an award, but getting one doesn't really mean much.

Zigandej - I haven't received a signature either. The others who received awards July 3rd didn't get a signature until around August 15th. That's over a month so I'm assuming for our sake they're running behind.

Not sure how much truth there is to it, but noticed the system is down for maintenance until tomorrow morning. Someone had said in a previous comment that might mean updates with updated information. I'm just praying for an email with an award! Good luck everyone!
