Nurse Corps Loan Repayment 2016 Cycle

Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

Hey everyone, so a representative reached out to me saying that she needed to follow-up with some information provided by my Point of Contact in HR. I guess after several attempts to reach out to them (my employer's HR is very interesting to say the least. I had to hound them during the application process to complete the employment verification portion) they reached out to me to get in contact with them. I'm happy to report I was able to get my point of contact person to complete whatever additional information was being requested by the Nurse corp representative. I did talk to the representative on the phone but she didn't give any indication that the follow-up with my point of contact had anything to do with whether I was a finalist. Any who, thought I would share this bit of information. My birthday is also at the end of this month, and I couldn't think of a better gift. Fingers crossed!

Did they reach out via email?

Yes. Via email - then within the email she gave me her direct number so I called her to follow-up, and let her know that I would be working with my Point of Contact person to get the information she needed promptly.

Nope, nothing. Still under review. Also getting very nervous. But people last year didn't hear till July 22nd.

Nope nothing yet, but one of the NP's I work with who was awarded last year said she didn't get the email until late August....God I hope it doesn't take that long :nailbiting:

I keep thinking there is another blog where nurses are saying they got awards!! im a crazy person!! It seems like it can drag out but i was hoping to see some awards go out by now. I hate checking daily, I am not sure if we get an email at the same time as our portal changing, i check both my email and junk mail!!

Nothing, yet. Still "under review", but hopefully it will be soon... Looks like the first of the awards started last year around 7/22 with people continuing to be awarded through late August.

They have be getting close. One of the NPs I work with got an email today requesting more information to submit for final approval.
