Hey all,
I searched far and wide and couldn’t find any posts related to Integrated Anesthesia Associates Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford. Anyone apply for the upcoming May 2021 cohort? Did anyone get an interview or interview already? When and how was it?

Hi!
Info regarding the Hartford CRNA program is extremely scarce on allnurses. The info available as I'm sure you are aware is outdated, so I'm glad you started this thread. IAA is a great program; few of my friends who attended it have nothing but positive things to say. I have an interview coming next week. I am nervous.
Do you have an interview?
@LiveBreatheCRNA Congratulations on getting an interview! I actually just received an email this week, inviting me to interview. The dates offered were towards the end of October. Just waiting to get confirmation on my preferred date.
And likewise, I have not heard anyone who has attended the program express disappointment soooo that is promising. I want to say "keep us posted" but it might just be you and I in here LOL. Have you started interview prep? Good luck next week!
@NightnurseAF, ? it might very well be just you and I on this thread but we will support one another and we shall persevere through this LOL!.
I heard interview is both personal and clinical. I am using the CCRN book for clinical prep. I will keep you posted!
@LiveBreatheCRNA We shall Persevere! I know someone who got in last year and he said the same. A combo of both clinical and personality. Best of luck!
@NightnurseAF
As we predicted, the interview consist of both clinical and personal questions. Know your area of expertise well and you will do great. They were very approachable, easy to talk to and made the experience less stressful. I am rooting for you and good luck!.

Hey all, I have an interview coming up! Im studying my vasopressors the most. I do have med/surg/neuro ICU experience but am most comfortable with MICU. Im incredibly anxious haha. Did they mention how long after your interview you would hear back about acceptance?
@NightShift, I was told in November but I know of people who got in before the November timeline. I guess it all boils down to how much they like the candidate overall package.
When is your interview if you don’t mind me asking? By the way is okay to be anxious but keep reminding yourself they invited you for a reason. You got this!

I interviewed as well. Very welcoming and accommodating. Interview was clinical and personality based. Was told decisions in November. Good Luck!
@NightShift did you interview already? how did it go?
All of you that interviewed already, how long was the entire process or how many hours were allotted for the interview?

Yes I did, honestly I can't say if it was good or bad because I just don't know. I don't think it was terrible. Altogether I think between waiting and introductions and interview and what not I was there for about 2.5 hours, maybe a little more or a little less. I think as long as you answer honestly there should be no problem. I think everyone is qualified. I just don't understand how they narrow down those who interviewed. I would say more, but for the integrity of the interview I have to be a bit vague.

Hi guys! Glad someone started this thread, I've been trying to find more information about this program. I am interviewing on 10/13 and someone I know in the program said that the interview was a mix of personal and clinical questions, wondering if you guys thought it was a good balance between both or if I should be focusing more on clinical questions. And how was the day? Was it kind of a 1:1 thing or were you guys with other applicants as well?
I totally understand if you have to be vague, just trying to gauge the vibe so I can better prepare!
