Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford 2021

Published

Hey all,

I searched far and wide and couldn’t find any posts related to Integrated Anesthesia Associates Nurse Anesthesia Program of Hartford. Anyone apply for the upcoming May 2021 cohort? Did anyone get an interview or interview already? When and how was it?

Hi guys! Glad someone started this thread, I've been trying to find more information about this program. I am interviewing on 10/13 and someone I know in the program said that the interview was a mix of personal and clinical questions, wondering if you guys thought it was a good balance between both or if I should be focusing more on clinical questions. And how was the day? Was it kind of a 1:1 thing or were you guys with other applicants as well?

I totally understand if you have to be vague, just trying to gauge the vibe so I can better prepare!

For the most part it was 1:1. I don't know if every interview is the same, but I would say study 50/50 clinical and personal to cover your bases. Please let us know how it goes. Has anyone heard back yet as to whether they have been accepted for the Spring yet? I know they said November. But was it by November or sometime in November?

@NightShift, I was told in November but I know of people who got in before the November timeline. I guess it all boils down to how much they like the candidate overall package.

When is your interview if you don’t mind me asking? By the way is okay to be anxious but keep reminding yourself they invited you for a reason. You got this!

Are you saying you know of people who got in before November this year? or in past years?

In past years I know ppl who had acceptances from other programs and were able to ask IAA if they were accepted so that they could make their decision to commit or not. I don't know of any acceptances for this year however.

I was referring to past years. I am not aware of anyone getting in for the Spring 2021 admission period. Last I heard, we will be hearing in November.

Hey I just wanted to say that I interviewed there and that the faculty and director seemed extremely pleasant. I’m not going to get into the specifics of the interview either than it was really smooth from my interpretation. They seem to be running a great program and really care about their students. Hopefully things will go well as they only accept ten students which tells me it’s quite competitive and they choose people that they know will succeed.

I agree with this as well. I had a very pleasant experience overall with the interview as well. Waiting patiently, also a hopeful over here even though it's highly competitive. Best of luck to everyone else interviewing! Early November can't come soon enough

Hey guys I also interviewed in early October and still haven’t heard anything. I was hoping that maybe they would have decisions ready a little earlier than they said, but I guess early November means early November. Has anyone heard back yet?

I believe some people have already heard back. I don't know what that means for the rest of us...

I have heard rumblings of some people getting acceptances as well...

Bummer, those of us who didn’t get in will apply again next year? I was really hoping Hartford was the one. I know some people who got in this year didn’t get in last year.

How did you find out you were not accepted? Email or mail? I am still waiting and refreshing my email every sec, my fingers are exhausted!
