NURS 4455 Leadership and Management

Anyone else starting this class on 4/8? I looked all through the boards, and only found one thread about this class and it was not helpful. I'm guessing we would need to shadow someone in management for this course.

Just another course I can't wait to be done with.

For the change theory project slide 15 we are suppose to write in parentheses the effective and ineffective methods involved in our work. Our we making this part up as this is not really being implemented?

I am in the same boat but I worked the first of the wee so I am just starting today. Did you guys just pic one of the change theories like Lewin or Rogers and use it as a basis for your plan? I know some one that took this class more than a year ago and they did this in groups not on their own. I still have to finish that financial case management thing too, that assignment is so confusing

That is what I am going to do, what other option do you have. I guess we can kind of assume from experience some of the potential problems we will face and just base it on that

Okay I am struggling with question 4 on the financial case management thing. For the FTE did you just adjust the number from question 2?

For question 4, I just did the adjustment (difference) for 1 RN, 1 HN, 2 NA and then the difference of taking away 2 LVN positions. You make the final budget by adding it all together in the last worksheet. Like you have above for the NA salary and benefits portion.

Is everyone finished with all the assignments already? Everyone but me seemed to be working ahead. I am try to finish up all the assignments for next week this week though, because I will have company all next week. It is cold and rainy out today so I don't mind sitting in front of the computer all day working on assignments. This way I will have 2 weeks off before I start another class.

Professional Development Plan: What references are we suppose to use? Basicly the paper is just us writting our goals, so how do I find a reference that I can use in a personal goal? For full points it says you need 5 references!

Not sure if you've already found it or not but it's the 100. Hbc or 700 course.
