NU SD Cohort 41

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

I feel like I really set myself up for dissapointment today. I was really banking that Ashley9890 was right and that we'd find out today. But maybe its still early and they will post later today? Uhg Im so exhausted of checking everyday and feeling so anxious. :unsure:

I was hoping too. I wish they wouldn't give information if theyre not going to hold up to it. They know we're all just waiting. I would think it would be posted first thing in the morning when they decide to get around to it.

I called jj Omar today and left a message asking him to call me back or if possible if he can maybe at least send out a mass email to the applicants regarding the status of the applications hopefully I get some sort of responce will keep u all posted

He finally wrote responded to my email that I wrote him 3 days ago. This is what he said: "At this time, it is in the hands of the administration. I have not been given a timetable as of yet."

I have no idea what to make of this and it actually makes me even more upset. Does this mean that they already have all of the results but just havent released them? And, if JJ is waiting for a timetable, what does that mean in terms of how much longer we will be waiting?!

The drums are rolling longer than it should. It became annoying. Well, the good news is that we will hear something before January, which is two months from now.

Ashley9890, I know what you mean. I wish they could just let us know why there is such a delay when they told us during our forum we would know by the end of October. Part of me is hoping that they are trying to figure out a way they can take all of us so that we don't need to worry about taking the new classes they are adding. Anyways here is to another day. Fingers crossed that we find out soon.

At first I was annoyed, then I was frustrated, now I'm heading toward feeling anger. This all seems so very unprofessional of them. I mean, we are going to be potentially paying a lot of money for this program - the least they could do is keep us updated on the status of the program and why there has been such a huge delay in admission. We applied 4 months ago, and we only have 1 and a half months until we are supposed to start with a hefty checklist to complete until then.
