NU SD Cohort 41

Published

I have searched for a thread about NU SD's cohort 41 that is supposed to be starting January 2015. I am going to be applying next week after I attend the pre-nursing forum on Tuesday, the 15th. My goal is to get into the ABSN program as I already have a bachelors degree. I understand thought that the number of spots in the cohort is for both the general BSN and the ABSN groups. I am curious to see what other peoples stats are that are going to be, or already have applied for this cohort. I am so nervous because I knpow a lot of people apply and there are only about 50 spots available. I havn't taken the TEAS yet or the essay exam part. I have a 3.5 GPA, so I'm hoping I can kick butt on the TEAS and essay!

This wait coupled with the miscommunication and lack of communication all together has really caused me a lot of stress. I am so much more nervous now than I was when I thought we'd hear in October. I feel like getting denied admission at this point would be more difficult to take after this long and anxious wait. I think it would be seriously messed up to not tell us until December. My husband keeps questioning the legitimacy of this program if they are being so unprofessional already and we havent even started.

I've been thinking the same thing Jessy!

This is craaaaaaazzzyyyy!!!

my former classmate from a prerequisite class got a re-entry email and she's starting again on January for cohort 40. She has to stopped schooling because she had the baby. And now she's coming back.

Meanwhile we are waiting with our eyeballs turning white.

She's starting with our cohort?

No she's from cohort 39. She stopped for few months. Now she's admitteed to cohort 40.

Ok, now this is just RIDICULOUS!

This NU mess depresses me:no::(:(:arghh:.

should I call my advisor again about this? I feel like a tape machine that keeps saying the same thing!

Please do! Im going to call mine too.

@Ashley and Pink, it would probably be best to call the admissions department since they would have more info. The advisors are kinda out of the loop aren't involved in the nursing department or with admissions. I am going to try to call later when I have a break from work. We should all call and bug the crap out of them... they deserve that anyway!

I emailed the director of the campus, he's been pretty good at getting me info in the past

Thanks Ashley, let us know if you hear back! Man, I had heard stories and been warned that NU was a little unorganized, but this is way worse that I could have expected.

Lol Jessy.. And we haven't even started yet!
