Hey I was wondering who has applied to the Nursing Program @ Nova starting fall 2010?

I would like to know of any updates any one has heard on the process, interviews, etc.

giggles, you need to make a 500 deposit to confirm you seat along with the intent to enroll form, every other payment can be made online..... once you receive your sharklink id. also after you make your payment you will be notified to do a certified background check and upload your immunizations oh and you need health insurance either your own or with nsu... however since you are starting in january you have more than enough time for this... so no worries.. i received my packet about a week after my email. everything as far as housing and paperwork will be included. you will be receiving emails on your webstar account and stuff like that so look out for that.. also make sure that you fill out your fafsa asap.... again congrats... we have been through this road since day 1 and now look even though we are not starting alongside each other but we will end up with our dreams.... sharks till the end!!! congrats again[/quote

congrats on your acceptance for the scholars!! :up: not that long ago we were crying and doubting the idea of ever being a shark and now you are on top of the world! super excited for you. enjoy.

i can't assess my wedstar account. any suggestions? also, the intent to enroll form was included in the package along with your sharklink id? i attempted to assess my sharklink id online but says the id and pin are invalid?...

any ideas? thanks for the other info. my fafsa is filled out and i already added them to the application.

Hi, guys and gals!

Congrats all of you who are accepted Nova!

I was following the thread even though I did not apply yet. =)

I am thinking about applying for winter term 2011 and it is already nerve

wrecking since some people are already accepted. (Congrats again!!).

Anyway, I have a quick question.

What's the difference between main campus and satellite campus?

Everything is same but location??

I am living Vermont now, and I've never been Florida before...So I'm clueless.

Any advice will be appreciated. =)

Satellite campus are not a traditional campus- they are known as student educational centers. No housing is available. Its a building. I don't know how limited their resources are but I believe they are limited; I could be wrong. The website has videos you can watch (Student Educational Centers / Off-Campus Locations | Nova Southeastern University) . Also, I would consider contacting the center you are planning to attend prior to registering. If you are considering Ft. Myers they have an open house that you can attend to.

Wowww! Congrats to those who have gotten accepted now and later to Nova and to those who have gotten accepted into BHSP! I received my phone call as well, and it was to notify that I will be receiving the approval letter! WOO, I am so excited to start this program and to grow with you all, we will be hitting those books hard ha! I dont know what I would of done if I didn't find this site where I can communicate and see that other students were going through the same feelings lol. I hope to meet you all and wish us the best for these upcoming years ;).

Well yea I'm in the process of making my payments now and I know that $250 is due by friday 7/16, what do you all think about insurance though? Ive got my own insurance now (NHP), should I just fill out the waiver form or should I go with the schools (Blue cross)?

Congrats to all the baptist scholars. I'm anxiously waiting for my good news. I had my interview on June 30th. My interview didn't go as smooth as I wanted but I know that god has got me this far for a reason, so I have hope. Again congrats and hope to see you all at orientation.

Giggles: Do you know your nova email address? Because you have to enter your nova email wihout @nova.edu, into the username then the password I belive is your 6 digit date of birth.( Ex.060786) that is for the shark link. As for webstar you have to enter your nova number with the letter capitilized followed by the numbers with no spaces. Your password should also be your 6 digit date of birth. If that doesn't work then there is a number on the shark link you can call for technical issues. They can help you gain access.

danes woohooo congrats!!! remember how we were in the beginning... nova gave us such a headache... now its time to roll with the punches and start our journey together... with the rest of the group... again i am also glad we have this thread, if not i wouldve felt so alone lol and desperate!!!!

giggles, nursekitty explained it well... your password is your dob and you can change it later... if you do not have access to webstar yet dont worry it took me i think about 48 hours to gain full access to their sites because i wasnt set up in their system yet and it takes awhile to update.... however, if you still find the problem then call them... but i just waited a little bit then logged in again using my info and i was set.... once you pay your 500 then more information will start popping up on your email regarding fafsa and stuff.... so get ready!!! you are well on your way girl... i remember how we use to be as well... we were running out of gas and then bam here it is.... everything comes when we least expect it and i am glad that you are in.... im so happy for you :hug: for the money you can pay little by little they give you deadlines.... the 500 needs to be sent within 2 weeks of your acceptance... then a month later is the 250 so little by little.... and it will show up on your webpage that you paid like on your admissions checklist it will say payment received or something... it said that on on my page but they didnt cash it until last week.... so im guessing as soon as they receive payment they post it so ensure your spot. also you could pay online or by phone zdream found out for me... so use that i think its easier lol.... woohooo

What number did you call to check the status of the scholars? Because I called the person who scheduled my interview and she said that I have to wait for the letter. She doesn't have access to that information and the peron that does is nit in the office today. If anyone has the number please IM me or something. Thanks

Thanks zdreams that is who I spoke with. She said she doesn't have access to see who was selected and the person who does is not in the office today. Maybe she got tired of people calling. Thanks

I just called ***. She asked me for my name and looked up the list she had and said my name was not on that list but that their is still another list. So I asked her if this meant that I was denied and she said No. Then I asked her if they would call me and she also said no that we have to wait for the letter.

This is REALLY fustrating, I am now doubting myself and I think I didnt get it because, I have yet to receive an answer.

I gave her my name too when I called but I don't think she looked up any list because she gave me a response right away. That's making me doubt myself too because she probably know who is on the list. And since I didn't get a call, I'm mote worried.
