NSNA National Conference in Orlando

Whats up folks!? I just thought I would see if anyone is going or knows about the NSNA National conference in april. Post here who's going, how your getting there, and what you had to do to pay your way there. Also, if you are in a state association.

I am going with the other officers from the madisonville community college chapter of the Kentucky Association of Nursing students (KANS). See yOU there!!

I am really on the fence about going. I start a job on the 5th (orientation) and my daughter is playing a soccer tournament the ending weekend of the conference. I *could* make it happen but it would be a lot in one week. There are a few people from my class that I like that are going but I just can't decide. If I didn't have the kids to worry about I would go in a heartbeat.

I'll be going with others from the board of directors of the Cal State San Marcos chapter. In addition to this, we have 3 people from our school going as board members of the California Nursing Students Association....pretty good considering our school is only 3 years old...

We've been fundraising like crazy, but a lot of the costs is on us....and since Southern Cal is like 3000 miles from Orlando, we're gonna hitchhike....or take a plane, whichever's faster....see ya'll there!

Have a group of about 6 going from my school. Almost all expenses paid flying down from Kansas. I wish I was going this year, I had a blast last year in Nashville and I have family in Orlando so it sucks not going.

I was just in clearwater and drove up to Orlando in Jan. Have a lot of trips planned this year or I would really try and go. We have a smaller state one I want to try and go to in Oct. I missed the one this year but I would have loved to been able to make it to one of the big conferences. None of my friends are interested in going though and I wouldn't want to go by myself.

We are doing several fundraisers also. We also did some begging that worked well. Our local hospital that our school does all its clinicals at and also many of our graduates are nurses there. Has agreed to pay our way. The school administration also agreed to pay our registration for the conference. Us being the officers and faculty that are going..... So begging never hurts !
