If so did you like it? Did you find it to be a benefit to you while in school?? I just joined but haven't done anything yet, when I say JUST I mean as in a few days ago.

Specializes in Corrections, neurology, dialysis.

Joined, sent them a check, got a membership card and number, got a couple of magazines.

That was it. Overall, it was a complete waste of time and money.

I joined but so far all I got out of it was an extra thing to put on my student resume and some good prices at barnes and noble if you access it through the NSNA website

Don't waste your valuable money on something like this. Complete waste of money.

I can't even remember if the school required it or not. I am sure that would have been the reason I joined. Waste of time and money.

I served on the board at my school as a corresponding secretary and I enjoyed it and went to conventions that truly opened my eyes to the nursing profession in whole new way. It was included in our tuition that we (the class) joined NSNA. It's a nursing associations just like others only the specialty is nursing students. It provides support to the student nurses and the money goes towards scholarships for other students. I don't believe it is a waste unless you don't use the resources and don't get involved. I hope this helps among the negative feedback.

Thank you, I was getting worried LOL, Our chapters first meeting is next week and I plan to go, they also have a lot of things going on in the community for us to volunteer to help, Blood Drives, Triathlon Races and so on.

There is a convention in Co Springs in Oct that a bunch of us plan on going to. I dunno, our school's chapter seem to be setting a lot of things up and apparently it's really good to have on your resume, a lot of the students on our school's chapter got Star Internships at a really great hospital. I was hoping there were people with a lot more positive experience with it. :(
