NSLIJ PICU Fellowship 2014

Published

Hi! So NSLIJ just posted the PICU Fellowship a couple of days ago and I wanted to see if anyone else has applied for it. If so have you heard anything from them? Also would love some advice from anyone who had applied for this position in the past. How long did it take to get an interview and how was the interview process. Thanks!

I applied to the PICU, CC and ED fellowships! I haven't heard anything yet--best of luck!! :)

Hi KfeastRN,

Thanks for sharing! I ended up applying to the critical care fellowship as well. When reading about the fellowship on the site I saw that you could choose which ICU you would like to be in. Since neonatal ICU and pediatric ICU were options I figured I'd try just in case I didn't hear something from the PICU fellowship. Good luck to you too! :D

So I heard people started to get called for interviews. Have you heard anything?

No I haven't heard anything yet :(

I keep searching for another thread but can't find anything...I'm suprised not more ppl are posting about it!

Hey kfeastRN, did you hear anything this week?

Nopee how about you?

Hi nurses, yea I applied as well and have not heard anything yet:(. When I called they said they are going over application, also they can not release any info. Have anybody tried to call. I am keeping my fingers crossed:nailbiting:. Surprise not much comments about call back posted.

Hi,

I haven't heard anything either. I didn't try calling because I have heard that HR doesn't give out any information regarding the status of your application.

Yea, I think maybe this month since they said July 2014, hopefully...I get a sense they probably did not start yet b/c ppl some ppl will post it. I am just staying hopefully cause I really want to be part of this. Still will keep fingers crossed, just WOW...sooo hard to get a job, especially after all that hard work in school. Anyway, here to keeping it hopefully...

Yea I was surprised that not many people have posted about the fellowships. I know a couple of people got interviews but like you said HR was still going over applications. I'm sure it's a long process. It is difficult to find a job in the city, especially now with LICH closing but keep positive, and if it doesn't work I am sure something else will come along!

What, I seen in other trends about ppl who went on nslij interviews is that they were referred to the programs, or if they applied to pervious fellowships and it became full..they place them on the next available opening for the fellowship..maybe that may explain something, but I believe they are still reviewing b/c no trends on ppl receiving a call for this particular fellowships...
