nscbn?????

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Has anyone passed using nscbn? I am currently enrolled for 3 weeks and am taking my boards for the 2nd time in 4 weeks. Any response is greatly appreaciated.

NCSBN was helpful, but I found kaplan to be more helpful for me in passing the exam!

3 weeks will not be enough time to finish the course. You would need about 6 hours per day. If you have the time, go for it! If not, just do all the tests on there and write down notes of what you think you need to review. Saunders questions were very helpful to me as well. Good luck! !

I started the Kaplan in class review today and they teach you how to take apart the questions and descriminate between the answers. Good luck!

I felt NCSBN review was overwhemling. I also took the 3 weeks & never got to finish because it was SOOOO much. I'm doing the Helen Feuer & I love it!

^ I used NSCBN as a course in addition to other sources, and I know a colleague who used NCSBN as their only source and we both passed the first time.

IMO, I found NCSBN economical-75-150 dollars v. 300+ dollars for Kaplan?? Sorry, I went to nursing school as with a mortgage and bills...-AND extremely helpful when it came time for the NCLEX. I even had questions similar to the NCSBN on the NCLEX.

Just make sure you focus on what category you had struggles with. Good Luck! :)

Thanks for all the response, @LadyFree28 I will continue with the 3 week review and also use Saunders 5th edition along with the study guide I got on here. I used Kaplan book and QBANK religiously last year and did not pass, so am hoping for a better outcome in 4 weeks.....good luck to everyone, I hope we all pass.

I did the entire NCSBN course in 10 days, but I studied 6-8 hrs a day. I also did some Lippincott 3500 and Saunders but I found them to be MUCH easier than NCSBN. I was scoring 75-88% on NCSBN by the end of the review. I scored 69% on my beginning assessment. I took the Kaplan free entrance exam once I finished NCSBN and I scored a 76%, which translated into a 97% chance of passing. I took the NCLEX yesterday for the first time, passed in 75 questions. I felt well prepared.
