Hey all,
For those that have used either (or both) of these sites in their NCLEX preparation, do you feel like it was worth it? I am definitely signing up for one of them, just trying to decide between the two.
I have a little more than a month before my exam and want the best content review in video form.
Any guidance would be appreciated!

I have no knowledge of the websites you asked about but I and almost everyone in my class used UWorld and it is amazing!! So worth it!

I have tried both. I used simple nursing during nursing school and had realized that there were a lot of errors in his videos. I think that his videos were very informative and helpful but with all his mistakes, it made it challenging to memorize the correct information. That being said, I would advise to not use it for NCLEX. I used the NRSNG Academy free trial and thought that it had a lot of helpful information and cheat sheets that would help me for the NCLEX. I like the structure of the lectures categories and in addition it has something called SIMCLEX which simulates the real NCLEX. I would totally stick to NRSNG Academy. For a good over view review check out Mark Klimeks NCLEX review. That guy is AMAZING!!! He literally is the NCLEX BIBLE! and hes really funny and entertaining which helps to sink in information more easily.
Yes! UWorld is definitely helpful! I'm really looking for an NCLEX review site that has videos explaining content and such to supplement the practice questions (similar to Khan Academy videos).
And I had no idea that Simple Nursing had mistakes in their videos! Thanks so much for letting me know! I definitely would be unhappy if I took the time to memorize incorrect information, and it affected my exam negatively.
Thank you both for your input! :)

NCLEX is very different than exams in nursing school. The most important thing you can do is practice NCLEX style questions. The rationales on UWorld are really all the content you need. NCLEX is about safety and prioritization. Not content.

I think these programs are helpful during nursing school but not a great refresher for NCLEX. I have NRSNG and although it was helpful during nursing school you'll overwhelm yourself if you use it to study for NCLEX because of how long the videos and how detailed. The NRSNG PDF files are useful as a quick review though. Simple Nursing helped me with medications because of the mnemonics he uses to memorize.
For NCLEX review I would recommend HURST and UWorld. If you can afford both, get both!
HURST: live review was helpful and the handbook is simplified and helps as a refresher for content. It does a great job at dividing body systems and teaching you key points to remember that will help you throughout the entire exam. If you are concerned about content I recommend them. I was not impressed with their questions and rationales though.
UWorld: has EXCELLENT rationales, I mean EXCELLENT. I actually learned a lot of information that I did't get in nursing school. They provide pictures and charts when it comes to rationales (which I love as a visual learner). The style and format helps you really prepare for the NCLEX.
My ranking for NCLEX review:
UWorld
Hurst
NRSNG
Simple Nursing
Hope this helps. Good luck!
P.S.- I passed first time with 75 questions :-).

simple nursing is a mess; it'll confuse you because Mike Linares makes mistakes during his video presentations and leaves you wondering what he's talking about... I was unsure and decided it was a mistake to continue.
