Looking to see any NP's experience with NP Fellowship or Residency Program? I know the stipend pay sucks, but I dont care for that, just the knowledge and experience to become a better NP. I am looking into Charlotte, NC Advance Clinical practitioner fellowship program.

I think they're great and I'm glad to see more of them popping up. There really aren't that many clinical hours in most NP programs so a residency is a great idea to get extra training. I hope they become a requirement in the future, perhaps as part of the DNP.

I am hoping to get into a residency. I think that they are going to be much more popular in the future. I graduate soon, and although I am having a great experience, I am feeling a lot of anxiety about my first job. I think that fellowships and residencies offer a safe and practical transition to practice for new NPs.

Fellowships and residencies are wonderful and it's nice to see more popping up. There are not nearly enough for all the NPs out there but it has to start somewhere.

That being said there are two group that are enthralled with residencies/fellowships: students and employers looking for cheap labor. Don't get me wrong, I think they are great, but when you go from student to working NP you forget about them pretty quick.
