This is going to be the hard part. I am already bored. I have finished my pre-reqs for LPN program, but the waitlist is a year long. I won't be starting until Sept 2011.
I will be taking RN pre-reqs, but I just want to hurry up and get in nursing school.

I know it is going to be hard. I'll be in that situation too in the spring. Are you a CNA or PCT now? Can you take one of the those classes to help fill in the gap a bit and get some experience and learn the lay of the land?

Me too. I just finished pre-req for LPN and the program starts in Jan. Still waiting to see if I get accepted. I was going to keep doing the pre-reqs for RN but ran into money troubles.

Double major. Or take all the fun classes you never did. I took welding, scuba, basic firearms training one semester to just add some fluff to my schedule and they were all a blast!

I got accepted into the RN program back in July but my cohort doesnt start until March 2011. I have no classes I can take because I took all my pre reqs (and then some) already. Thats pretty much why I joined this board to kill time lol. I also started a blues band.
Great! I am a CNA, but I am not sure I want to work as one in a nursing home right now. Hospital only wants experienced CNA's, and the nursing homes want you to commit to at least 20 hours per week...I only want 1 shift a week right now as I am still taking classes, have 2 kids and a hubby who works 70 hours per week.....so I can't imagine working 20+ hrs on top of everything else. I know some mom's do that...but I couldn't.....still trying to set up house (we just moved).....so I know I should enjoy my time "off".....but my brain is so used to constant mental stimulation....LOL!!
