Novant Health Nurse Residency Program Summer 2020

Hi everyone!

I applied for my first nurse residency program a week ago at novant and have a few questions!

Does anyone know how long it takes to hear back after applying?

How competitive is the program in general and how competitive is it to get placed in your preferred track? (mine is women's and children)

Does anyone have any interview insight/advice for residency programs in general?

Yes I got an offer today ?. When I signed the list I was like #11 and I was the towards the last bit to sign up

So I actually had an interview with Prince William but I am a little scared because I heard they give people jobs on the spot but the lady who interviewed me said it takes three weeks. so, I wanted to see how long before you guys hear back from someone.

Did you do the virtual event? I interviewed with Winston yesterday virtually and the lady told me 2-3 weeks also. And I know Charlotte took about two weeks after their interview event too. I’m not sure about Prince William but I don’t think you should worry about not getting an offer on the spot. I think a lot is going on in the hospitals right now with COVID and everything so it’ll probably take them some time to make decisions!

That’s true! I really like how Novant has their residency set up so I’d prefer to start there in any speciality LOL. Let me know how it goes!
