Nova Southeastern Winter 2015 - Entry Level BSN

Helloooo future Sharks! =)

I haven't found any threads on the upcoming NSU Winter 2015 entering class so here it is.. Does anyone know when they will start calling for interviews? I know the final day to send in apps is Oct 1st so I'm assuming they'll start doing interviews close to that time? Talk about a forever wait! Anyway, I'd love to talk to others in the same boat or anyone who's gone through this recently and can offer any advice.

I hope so, am having a nervous breakdown

Seats for the Baptist scholarship are full for winter 2015 because all seats were given to those that got awarded the scholarship for Fall 2014 and got deferred

Hey everyone! I'm not new to thread, I've been following up with it, and I just wanted to say congrats to everyone so far that has been accepted and have gotten the scholarship! Those that are still waiting, don't worry because it take times; I waited two months before I heard back from Nova when I applied! Anyways I decided it would be great to have a Facebook page for us the class of Winter 2015 so that we can all keep to date and stuff soooo heres the link!! https://www.facebook.com/NSUNursingWInter2015 Alrighty! Have any of you heard how many applicants are they going to accept?

Marielys, they did not disclose this information to us. They told me it would be unfair to other students and also, how anything can change at last minute (an increase or decrease in available slots).

My friends in the program, however, have spoken to staff. RUMORS are that there are only about 5-8 slots left in the Winter Scholars program and they have interviewed about 20 people.

Please update us as soon as you hear about your decision, I will do the same! Good luck.

Hey Mike, don't lose hope too soon. I've realized that after an interview or a very important exam, we humans tend to focus on the negative or on "what went wrong", giving it way too much importance. Let's focus on the positive, on what you did good at the interview, and you'll see that it probably wasn't so bad. Besides, the scholarship is a great opportunity of course, but WE ARE IN!! We are in nursing school at one of the best universities in southeast Florida!! Yay! Have a great saturday :cool:

I completely agree. I have been trying to stay positive by the overwhelming support from my family and friends. Unfortunately we all make mistakes, and it is true that we tend to only focus on the negative. Hopefully the recruiters aren't too harsh on us for being nervous, and that they notice the good qualities we possess. After some careful thought, I realized I have worked very hard to make it this far, with or without the scholarship. It is time we finally take on the next chapter in our lives: nursing school, and that we do it with a grateful attitude. Thank you for your advice. Good luck to you and let us know of any updates!

Hey guys! I just received my acceptance letter.. Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! So happy! Thought I should let you guys know since you've all been such awesome moral support :) go sharks!!

So it's very competitive. Still hoping for the best and searching other options for tuition funding. Congratulations to all the newly accepted!! Enjoy your last weeks of freedom :cheeky:
