I'm still not done with my classes I'm taking 3 now during the summer my cum gpa is 3.4 and might go up to 3.5 or stay the same but i know it won't go lower than that. Off the top of my head my pre req gpa is a 3.5 ish . I have confidence because Ive seen people getting.in with as low as a 3.1 so I think we both have a shot at getting in . But from reading the threads on this forum submit ur application as early as possible and that'll help your chances . What campus are u applying to?
Yea hopefully I'll be fine! I have read soo many of the threads on here about Nova and it seems doable to get accepted- unlike other programs in the state appear to be! I'm applied to the Ft. Lauderdale campus on Wednesday, so now I'm just waiting for them to receive my transcripts. I hope thats early enough lol when are you applying?
hey guys! i'm not sure if you were aware of this, but there was a chat session with nova admissions and financial aid representatives last thursday (you should have been notified via e-mail or your vip page). here are some of the points that i found useful:
- nova does not select applicants on a first-come, first-serve basis. they said they used to do this, but not anymore
- you must have all of your pre-requisite classes completed before the application deadline to even be considered
- for financial aid, if you already have a bachelor's degree, you are eligible for stafford loans. they advised us to look for external scholarships
- nova has a 97% pass rate for the rn-nclex exam on the first try
- clinical rotations start 2nd semester
- # of students chosen each semester: 80 (main campus), 50 (ft. meyers), 60 (kendall)
- those who already have a bachelor's degree have no priority over other applicants
- 3.4 cumulative gpa is considered competitive and a 3.2 science gpa (pre-req sciences only) is considered competitive
- scholarship info @ http://www.nova.edu/financialaid/scholarships/institutional.html
- we take about 12 credits a semester and are automatically registered
- average class size: 30 students
- we get days off according to the academic calendar; our only extended break is from dec 12 to january 8th
hope this helps answer any lingering questions that you might have had :)

Hi! I will be submitting my NSU application at the beginning of next week (just waiting on my second L.O.R.) and I can't wait! I am very anxious to hear back from them, and have my fingers tightly crossed I will get accepted for spring. Are there any other hopefuls out there??
