Nova Southeastern University Entry Level BSN Winter 2014

Published

Hi future nurses! I've been searching for a recent forum of the BSN program for Winter 2014 but couldn't find any so I decided to make one myself. I applied to the Winter 2014 BSN program at NOVA. All my prereqs are done, my GPA is 3.7 and my science GPA is 3.5. I was hoping to receive feedback from anyone who has applied in the past or is currently applying like myself to the Winter 2014 program! Have any of you gotten an interview call yet?:nailbiting::nailbiting:

hi guys. I am applying to Nova for the fall 2014class as well. I have a interview coming up in April 14th. Feel very nervous and don't know what to expect for the Kaplan exam as I took my A&P 3 years ago and forgot a lots of them.

is there anyone applying for the fall 2014 class?

Hi tristasomewhere I'm also applying to nova for the fall 2014 term. Congratulations on your interview!! My interview is the 7th of April and I'm getting nervous. Try buying the Kaplan review guide that's what I did. I also took my A&P classes a while ago.

Can anyone give me advice on what to wear for the interview? Business casual?

@victoria23 yes, business casual is good but not too casual . Shirt, blazer, and pants should be good enough.

I just got my notification via email yesterday that I got in but I will be going to UCF instead. Check your emails to see if youve been notified! :) good luck to everyone!

I got accepted!!!! Im so excited!!!!

Hi everyone, I applied to Nova and have been selected for an interview on Tuesday the 15h of April. I am new to the area, came from Fort Lauderdale and now I am trying to go to the Fort Myers campus! I am nervous about the Kaplan entrance exam because of the math and physiology, since I have heard from many that it is difficult. I recently took A&P 2 though and had a great teacher, so we shall see=/ I am trying to get into the Fall 2014 semester! I took the TEAS exam and had an accumulated score of 82%, does anyone know how similar these two tests may be? I also had a tutor/nurse help me for two weeks before the TEAS exam. Please help?! =p

I got accepted!!!! Im so excited!!!!

congrats, you be fine, enjoy your free time now...LOL.

congrats Victoria, you be fine, enjoy your free time now...LOL.

But after the interview there is a section where you are give half an hour to write an essay. . .

Write an essay? I have not heard about this. Also, with the kaplan test, how did the time limit work? Was it work at your own pace just finish in the allotted time (2 1/2 hours?) or did each section have a set time limit?

I got accepted!!!! Im so excited!!!!

Thanks so much gigi509 :-) I'm going to take the summer to brush up on my A&P

Haha, enjoy your free time now, Gigi, you're hilarious! She's right though, time will not be your friend but it is definitely doable if your willing to work for it. For me so far physio has been a humbling experience. I'm use to getting A's and it is not happening for me so far the first semester. Congrats to all that have been accepted. It's a great school and so far the professors have been extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Personally, the cohort I came in with during Winter of 2014 are a great bunch of people, I hope you guys are fortunate enough to have the same. Study up on your anatomy, but really study up on your physiology. At Nova, they are credited as one class but it's really two separate classes. The anatomy and physiology professors are fantastic though and they do a great job of explaining the material. Understanding the concepts is entirely up too you.

Thanks for the great information :-) I am really nervous about the advanced A&P class.
