Hi everyone!
I haven't seen a post about NSU's Entry-level BSN program for Fall 2015 so I decided to start one. If there is another thread that everyone else is on, please let me know! I double-checked to make sure there weren't any posts hiding but I could be wrong.
Anyway, I am waiting for my final transcripts to be sent to Nova. Other than that, now it's just the waiting game and I'm super anxious. They wont be calling people until Feb or March probably. I finished my AA with Broward College this December. I underestimated application deadlines and the application process to get everything together so unfortunately I will have a semester off from school.
I also applied to FAU's Traditional BSN program. I have a thread about that as well if you also applied to that school. You can jump over to that thread by clicking here
If all else fails I was thinking of just going back to Broward College, possibly their North campus.
If anyone has any stories or advice/knowledge about any of these programs, please share! If you're an applicant to NSU as well, good luck! Hope we get the responses that we want.
I think anything around the lines of slacks (black, brown, gray), knee-length skirts, nice blouses (maybe chiffon material?), blazers, flats (probably close toed) or heels at a moderate height would be fair game.
Avoiding denim or maybe sandals (or just make sure they have a back strap so they're not making that flip flop noise) would be good. Touch up on nails if you need to take off polish or just redo them so you don't have chipped nails. As far as hair goes it doesn't matter as long as it looks neat and not covering your face the whole time lol.
The interviews I've done were just for retail jobs so they weren't as formal (i.e. I've worn jeans to those interviews) So I'm probably not the best candidate to give advice on this haha.
Also when you dress up for it you can put in a touch of your style in it too. You don't have to wear all one color but at the same time don't wear highlighter yellow or traffic cone orange either (unless you really want to lol). It all comes down to what you say in the end at least but first impressions start with your appearance.

@destiny13, I was told by someone at Nova to dress professionally as if you're going for a job interview.
