Nova Southeastern University BSN program Fall 2022

Hello!

I am starting this forum because I have not seen anyone create a NSU Fall 2022 Traditional BSN program. I would like to get in contact with other people that are applying or are in the process of. We could help each other and give advise.

Hi guys, 

For the ones who got into the program, did you have to take the KLAP exam yes or yes? or does the TEAS also count as a pre-admissions test? Just asking because when I called to obtain more info, they did not mention anything about the KLAP exam.

Hi Alex!

Unfortunately, only the Kaplan Nursing Admissions Test counts for NSU. The TEAS does not even if you've already taken it.

 I didn’t do the Kaplan. They made me take the TEAS. They said they are phasing out the Kaplan or something like that.

They just switched to the TEAS in the middle of this cycle. So yes, now you have to take the TEAS instead of Kaplan

How long after you took the TEAS, did you hear back from them ? Do you know if there’s a certain score you need to obtain ?

I heard the next day after taking the exam. They gave me a week to take it after the interview. I don’t know if a specific score is required. They didn't give me any information, they just told me to take the exam. I think as long as you rank “proficient” or above you should be OK.

Thanks for letting me know! Just wanted to make sure. I recently submitted my application and I included my TEAS scores since I'm applying to other programs. The lady I spoke said my scores were really good but there's a chance NOVA may want me to take the test again. It depends on their decision.

Your Welcome! Since you already took it I think you should be fine (as long as its not outdated or anything). They asked me before if I had previously taken it and when I told them no, thats when they said I should schedule it - so I’m guessing they were willing to accept the score IF I had one LOL.

Hi everyone! I was admitted to the Fall 2022 BSN Program. Took my TEAS yesterday and received a call from James (Administrative Coordinator) today. If anyone wants to connect my IG is @claudiavergaraaa . See you guys at orientation ?

How long after you applied did you receive a call for your interview?

It took them around 2 weeks to get back to me
