Hi Claritza! OMG I wish you the best of luck! I'm sure you will get in! Can you please tell me when did you apply? I haven't gotten a call yet for the interview. I applied on November and my NursingCas application just got verified yesterday. Also can you please tell me what are your stats? And how was the test? I've been studying a lot but I am so nervous. Sorry to bombard you with so many questions. Once again, I wish you the best on your application!

Aww LOL Thank youu!! I applied on January 13th  on the 15th I got a call for an interview  you choose The time you want for the interview and the test on the same day but between two weeks. So I took the test today and im ngl I didn’t do that much studying and I had a 68% you’re going to have a essay that you’re going to write but don’t stress yourself too much on that test because it’s basically to see where you’re at and if you’re able to handle the class. When they make the final decision they look at your Kaplan essay and The biggest one I would suggest to get ready for is the interview. Just five or three simple questions takes about five minutes. My stats are 3.3gpa overall and science GPA 3.6 for the Kaplan test I would suggest you the study on the science part the most because that’s the most hardest part I didn’t do too good on I believe I got out of 20 questions I got seven wrong the science section. What’s your stats ? And did u apply yet to the program because there on rolling admission too so I suggest u apply as soon as possible because they’ll take you since it early  and it’s January

Hey Claritza! Thanks for responding! Did you apply to the NursingCas or the university's application on January 13th? I completed my application on November 2021 for the BSN program and in January I completed my NursingCas application for the school which is a requirement, my account was verified yesterday. I haven't received a call yet but I believe that I should be receiving one this week or the next one. I have a 3.4 GPA and on the science courses I have a 3.9. Are you planning on going to to the Fort Lauderdale campus or Miami? Also, what questions did they ask you on the interview?

Hi Claritza! How are you? Will you please give me a follow up on your admissions? How did it go?

Hello Future NSU Nursing Students! I am currently a 7th semester student at Nova South Eastern University. Please ask any questions you may have!

My suggestions for Kaplan admission:

  • Study anatomy and especially physiology. I also had some pathophysiology questions.
  • If reading comprehension is not your best skill, practice
  • Math was extremely easy. It's just judging your ability to solve a problem using simple math.
  • For the essay: it is one page, handwritten. I had to narrate a scenario in which I worked in a team.

For the interview:

  • Be ready to defend your decision to become a nurse
  • Be ready to briefly introduce yourself
  • Be ready to defend why you chose NSU
  • Prepare questions to ask at the end, when an opportunity is given
  • I was also asked scenario based questions.

For those who have been already admitted, CONGRATULATIONS! Start studying A&P and get really familiar with APA 7th edition; you will write many papers.

Remember to study to understand and retain rather than just study to pass an exam. Each semester build on previous knowledge. Some of us in 7th semester are now struggling to remember foundation questions.

Nursing school questions are different. You can have four question which may be right, but you must chose the most right. One variable can make that answer the best. Also prepare for a lot of select all the apply. I hear that the new NCLEX will have fill in the blanks questions; prepare for that as well.

Nursing school is NOT easy. Many nurses will tell a simple mathematical formula: RN=C. You will experience your first signs of true failure in nursing school. Do not give up and push harder.

Hi! I just recently submitted my nursing application for nsu and I wanted to ask about the interview. Is it a one way interview or is it in person?

Hi Elizabeth! The interview is in person. I applied to the Fort Lauderdale campus. I think that you should be really prepared for the interview. All of the questions they asked me were about “what would you do?” Like what would you if you saw a classmate or cheating or what would you do if you car breaks down in the morning and you have a test… etc. Other than that, it was pretty easy. Remember to be cordial, show enthusiasm, and be respectful. Good luck to you!

@Esthernin2024 Congratulations on your acceptance! I applied to the accelerated program at Miami. Once they confirmed your application was forwarded for review, how long did it take to get the call for the interview?

hey everyone ! I just got accepted into NSU's program in Ft Myers. Since I'm from New York my interview was over the phone lolll I am looking for roommates !! Or if there's a facebook group to meet other people im totally down !
