Nova Southeastern University BSN Fall 2019

Published

Hi all! It may be quite early for a Fall 2019 forum, but it's better to be prepared. I'm in the process of completing my pre-reqs at MDC and am projected to finish Spring 2019. So with that being said, my plan is to apply to NSU for the Fall 2019 nursing program. Anyone out there beginning their journey with admissions, etc. ?

Hi, congratulations! Did you get accepted for fall 2019 or winter 2020?

I applied for fall 2019 and I will be interviewing on Tuesday the 18th, but they told me the Fort Lauderdale campus is full already. I'm excited for next week.

Thank you!! and Fall 2019. Good luck, you'll do great..nothing to worry about they are super nice & the Kaplan isn't too hard!

Tell me a little bit more about the interview? I’m ready for the test but I’m a little worry for the interview. Were they asking a lot questions...etc....?

I think they ask everyone a little bit different questions but they asked me why i wanted to be a nurse, what challenges I’ve had in my academics, what have i done to prepare so far for a career in the health field, where i could see myself in 5 years in the health field.. stuff like that. It’s stuff you’ll know the answer to!

Thank you so much!! I hope I get accepted for fall2019 as well. Good luck !

Hi! I got accepted in May to the Fort Myers Campus. Interview was easy they only ask 5 questions & Kaplan was not as hard as I thought it’s be. I’m torn though because I didn’t realize how expensive the program was prior to applying(10k per semester before grants/financial aid x 7 semesters) Not sure now if I should wait it out and apply to FSW or Rasmussen for their ASN.

I got accepted too and was looking at the expenses. On top of that, I will need to live in the campus because I am too far to be driving. I heard they offer many scholarships though.

I did see that but since I got accepted May 28th most of their scholarships deadlines I could have applied closed May 1st. ? I spoke with financial aid yesterday and I’d have to come up with 2-4K for the first three semesters.

Hi. Has anyone been accepted to the Ft.Myers campus? I have been accepted and I am torn on attending or not due to the cost of the program. I am just wondering as to how everyone is planning on paying for the program and if it is worth it to attend or to wait and apply to FSW, FGCU or another state school? I am only able to get about $5,000 in federal loans per semester which leaves me having to come up with about $4,000 out of pocket or taking out a personal loan from a bank. Opinions and advice are very much appreciated! Thank you!

I was accepted to the fort Myers campus and am in that same situation. My brother in law got his Doctorates at FGCU for PT and the cost of his program was equivalent to Novas bachelor program. So right now I’m leaning towards waiting it out and applying for FSW in Spring 2020. I was told by financial aid that even after grants and financial aid I’d still be 38-43k in debt with Nova.
