Nova Southeastern University BSN Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello, I saw that there wasn't a thread created for the fall term 2018 in nova. I wanted to know if anybody is already studying for the test, and if so, what book are you using to study?

Hey everyone! So I did apply on Nursing CAS as well. But I don't think they have received that application yet because I am still waiting on verification through Nursing CAS. I think they are calling based on your application to NOVA not the Nursing CAS.

How exciting, yet nerve wrecking! And thanks!

I've read on other post from previous years that the questions have been different. 2013 the questions were about being a flower, sounds silly. But 2017s questions were if you have a child and get a call that they need you, but have a test at the same time what would you do?

I've been thinking about it a lot, I have two small children and it's a tough question for me. I think my first move would be to talk to the professor and take it from there.

Yes I agree! I have a friend who just started at NOVA and she had told me that the interview questions were pretty simple. She was asked why she wanted to be a nurse and why did she choose NOVA. Shouldn't be too bad.

That's great to know! I called today and spoke to a nice lady named Kate who is in admissions. She said all my information is at the college of nursing and I'm just waiting to hear from them, I'm super impatient. Hope everything goes well for all of us!

Hey guys, I applied back in October but I just recently sent my MDC transcripts which they finally received but I just checked online and they are asking me to send in my saint Thomas transcripts because I took two online classes with them before, I didn't know I would have to send those in since those grades show up on my Dade transcripts, wish I would've known sooner. Anyways, I am very anxious waiting to receive a call or email to set up an interview. My current GPA is a 3.6 and my science is a 3.7 because I am taking my last 5 classes now which are microbiology with lab, anatomy 2 with lab, and stats. I wish the best for all you!!

Hi Victoria! When it comes to transcripts they want everything, I had to send in my transcripts from the Navy (yes the military has transcripts lol). Those are great GPAs, I hope your last 5 classes go well!!! :)

I know we're all anxious to get this process going and to make it into NSU. I hope all goes well for you too!!! :)

Hey guys, any news on interviews?

Hey guys, any news on interviews?

Hoping to hear today or sometime this week.

Vane do you know when we take the Kaplan test?

I'm hoping hear something this week as well! It's nice to see another fellow service member applying!

I received a voicemail from someone from the admissions department but it was just general phone call stating if I had any questions about the process to not hesitate to contact them. Other than that, it has been extremely silent D:

Ditto on that! What branch? What job?

I was in the Navy and obviously a Corpsman, lol.

It's silent over hear too, waiting for that phone call and hoping it's good news.

My science gpa is a 3.0 so it worries me. My overall gpa is a 3.29, I have my associates degree from Palm Beach State.

Air Force and a non-medical job. I already have an associates through the USAF and a bachelor's degree through AMU. My GPA is right around yours, so we'll see. I'm having the same reservations. Fingers crossed!

Woohoo, just got a phone call from Kate (the admissions lady I've been speaking with). She pestered the College of Nursing and found out I am eligible and we set up my interview date. February 6th, like you Vane123!

I am so excited (and nervous)!!!

Yes!!! I'm so excited!!! I believe that once we get there we take the Kaplan exam first . I'm so excited but also nervous. I'm sure we're going to do just fine.
